About this Product
Andy’s unique storytelling style captures a tale of war, faith, and forgiveness and molds it in a way that fills an emptiness in those of us who have forgotten the true meaning of life and are searching for enlightenment.
Throughout time, man has struggled with forgiveness and acceptance of his own shortcomings as well as those around him. Day in and day out, it’s something all of us are faced with. Andy Andrews offers a solution in Islands of Saints, delivering a much-needed message about the treasures in life — the things that matter most — and how detrimental it can be when we lose focus on those things.
The Story
On a summer night in 1942, Lieutenant Josef Bartels Landermann slips unseen into the dark waters of the Gulf of Mexico after being shot from the conning tower of the recently surfaced U-166 German submarine. Several hours later, Helen Mason, a beautiful young woman recently embittered by her husband’s death in the war, finds Landermann's nearly lifeless body while taking a late-night walk along the shore. Enraged by the German sailor's uniform, she is prepared to leave the wounded man to die when an unusual phrase, faintly uttered, changes her mind.
Set in a period simmering with anger and hate, Island of Saints offers a startlingly simple yet profoundly practical solution for healing the world. Blending his unique style of historical accuracy with unparalleled storytelling, Andy Andrews illuminates a timeless truth taught by saints and sages for millennia.

Just finished Island of Saints and what a wonderful and awe inspiring journey I have taken once again with you. After completing The Traveler's Gift I wondered if I would ever again take another journey as inspiring, heartfelt and loving . . . and you did it again. I have purchased both books as gifts for other because your stories are so wonderfully universal and make such a profound impact on the spirit. Bless you and your staff for the gifts you keep on writing for us. Thank you so much for your creative expressions of love and for sharing them with us all.

Thank you for another moving book. I finished the book on my way back from a business trip before Christmas. I was stressed from the long year of travel and a bit resentful of my wife because she was at home enjoying the comforts that we have created. I knew that she was going to give me an earful for being away again.
Before I got home, I forgave her for being made. I also forgave myself for being away so much. Those two thoughts lead to a warm welcome home and a sense of peace between us.
This morning when I was laying in bed with her I thought of all of the people that I should forgive so I can move on and take that power back from them.
I feel relieved.
Thank you for the great book!
PS. Socks for Christmas is great too!

I met Mr. Andrews on one of my flights. We chatted a bit and he offered me a copy of his book, "Island of Saints". I read it in two days and was extremely moved by the overall message. I recently had forgiven (in my mind and heart) a relative with whom I had been angry with for over 5 years. It wasn't until I read Mr. Andrews book that I figured out why I suddenly had peace of mind. The angry burden we carry around can be so consuming. The letting go is liberating. "Island of Saints" demonstrates how to lay down those burdens. It is a powerful story and will captivate you.

I have just finished "Island of Saints" and I must say I am truly Blessed to live in a time when there are awesome writers leaving a special legacy for all Mankind. I don't have the words to give you the inspiration to continue to write for us; but I trust your gift is from God and that he will continue to give you the necessary inspration. I am so disappointed when I go into my local Chapters/Indigo book stores and do not find any of your books. I do often encourage them to bring in your books and I also tell people personally of how important the messages in your books are.

I read The Traveler's Gift a few months ago, and shared it with a friend, who enjoyed it as much as I did. I just finished Island of Saints in one day, and was touched by the powerful message of forgiveness in this book. I'm a lay speaker in my church, and am going to try incorporate the theme of forgiveness from Island of Saints into a sermon, one I need as much as the other folks who will hear it. What an uplifting story!
I've been impressed by everything of yours that I've read, seen or listened to. How refreshing to read a story about real folks with a message of hope for the future by letting go of the past (forgiveness). I look forward to reading your next book, and plan to buy copies of your books for family and friends.
