Hi Everyone !

One of my favorite people also happens to be one of the most inspiring men in the world. He is a marathon runner, a long distance cyclist, a downhill ski racer, and mountain climber. He has climbed the tallest peak on each of our seven continents. Recently, I was awestruck as I watched a video of him walking across two aluminum ladders that had been tied together and laid across a crevasse hundreds of feet deep. The crevasse was just one of several in the Kumba Ice Fall that he crossed in that manner on the incredibly dangerous face of Mt. Everest. The following week, Erik Weihenmayer was featured on the cover of TIME magazine. He had reached the very summit of Everest. Oh, and by the way . . . Erik is blind.

With Erik’s permission, I recently turned on my pocket video camera during one of our conversations. Take a few minutes to watch, and listen to some of Erik’s answers to my questions. And just like I do every time I am around him, be prepared to dump any excuse you might have about being too tired, too scared, or too ill equipped to accomplish the great things that are possible in your life!
